Happy Thanksgiving from London!

The irony of wishing you all back in the States a Happy Thanksgiving from London is not lost on me.  I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family and friends and have to unbutton your pants from too much turkey and pumpkin pie.  Cheers!

This is where I saw a fox run across the path and into the bushes in St. James Park.  Don't see that in Central Park!

Happy Thanksgiving from London!

Last of the Autumn Inspiration

In case you need a little last minute autumn and entertaining inspiration, this is probably the last of it until we move onto Christmas.  I will be in London for Thanksgiving which seems rather ironic.  I'm excited to get away but I will miss the pumpkin pie.  Hope one of you will save me a piece!

Bon Weekend!

Habitually Chic Holiday Entertaining with Horchow

Since my friends and I will all be out of town for Thanksgiving, we plan to get together for dinner before we leave. Even though there are a million restaurants in New York, it's always nice to plan a dinner party at home where you can be as boisterous as you want without bothering the table next to you.  One of my friends and former clients generously offered up his apartment since he's the only one with a large dining table.  While he has a lot of china, I wanted to add in a few things to make it look more special. I was especially excited to find these Harvest Dinnerware Pumpkin Bowls from Horchow that are perfect for Thanksgiving. The Sferra Hemstich Napkins I also found from Horchow perfectly complement the tablecloth that I had already bought him too. The Arthur Court Antler pieces are also be perfect for holiday entertaining. The bowl I ordered ended up being too big for the table but I used it on the bar for ice. I also picked out this vase of faux Heavenly Peonies for my own apartment since peonies are ridiculously expensive in the winter. Horchow is definitely a one stop shop for holiday entertaining accessories and the best part is that you don't have to brave the holiday crowds to shop with them!

Happy Holidays!

Back in Black

Black Friday is the phrase used to describe the shopping day after Thanksgiving when retailers go from "in the red" to "in the black" which refers to making a profit.  For me, it's the day that makes me glad I don't live near a mall.  This post is my chic homage to Black Friday with a little white and grey thrown in for good measure.  If you do go shopping, I hope you don't get trampled by anyone buying a flat screen tv.

Bon Weekend.
