And Other Stories

I'm not keen on names that are random phrases but since & Other Stories is an off shoot of H&M, it probably doesn't matter.  What does matter is that blogger Garance Dore recently photographer street style star Giorgia Tordini and her sister Giulia in their winter collection in Stockholm, Sweden. The clothes look quite chic and I'm disappointed that I didn't think to stop by their stores in London and Paris.  But that just gives me one more reason to plan another trip.

Styled to Perfection

One of my readers asked me where to find the ivory cableknit sweater in my November post and I realized that I forgot to credit Emeron Fry. While I on their site looking for the link to send her, I noticed some lovely new images for fall/winter 2013. As you know, I love fashion shoots styled in interesting interiors and it makes me wonder if this is Emerson's own home.  The best creative people are those who are creative in every part of their life and it's clear why Emerson Fry is so chic.

Fashionable Backdrop

I always find fashion stories so much more compelling when they are set in a beautiful interior instead of a blank backdrop.  The feature with Liev Schreiber and Doutzen Kroes in the November 2013 issue of Vogue is titled L.A. Confidential but looks to be set in a contemporary townhouse in the West Village or Chelsea. It's not my usual style but I love the whole look, especially the garden space. I also love Doutzen's hair. Not sure how you get that style in real life without some setting lotion and hot rollers but I might give it a try.

Sporty Spice

I like to keep my workout clothes separate from my regular wardrobe.  But the more I see sneakers worn while not breaking a sweat, I'm starting to rethink my rules.  A pair of New Balance trainers could be a chic alternative to flats for traversing the city.
