Gold

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Summer Afternoon

Summer afternoon—summer afternoon;
to me those have always been the two most
beautiful words in the English language.

Summer Afternoon

Springtime in New York

Sometimes I get annoyed with bloggers who post all their instragram photos on their blog since most of the time I've already seen them.  I try not to do it myself but I know some of you don't follow me and therefore you are missing out on my photos of springtime in New York.  It really is one of the most magical times when everything comes alive, even the residents.  Enjoy!

Cherry blossoms in my apartment.

Magnolia trees in bloom outside The Frick.

Central Park near 72nd Street.

Madison Avenue and 73rd Street.

Madison Square Park.

Central Park Conservatory Pond.

Park Avenue Tulips.
