I included a look from the Spring/Summer 2014 Hermès show in my last post which reminded me that I should take a more in depth look at the collection. As you know, Hermès is best known for their leather accessories and bags but they also offer discreetly chic clothing to go along with said bags. The spring show was one of my favorites from Paris and had a jungle backdrop in the Orangerie et Jardin du Luxembourg. It featured a relaxed silhouette reminiscent of the 1980's and colors one wouldn't necessarily associate with spring and summer. This is probably why I liked them. In design and fashion, I prefer neutrals and dirty colors to bold brights. The yellow alligator skirt and teal green dresses look like pieces that would stay in your closet forever, just like the bags. Not sure if the prices are as steep as the bags so maybe I'll start saving up now.
